Shotokan Karate Club was formed in 1995,
and since that time the club has
achieved phenomenal successes on the
national and international circuits as
well as coaching a number individuals to
above average levels in traditional
Karate.

Whilst Competition is quite important to
the club, a great deal of emphasis is
placed on traditional Karate with
particular attention paid to Kata
(forms) and the perfection of technique.
The overall aim of the club is to help
provide youngsters with a sense of
discipline and respect, raise levels of
self-confidence, teach focus and
control, balance and determination and
give them an above average chance of
defending themselves.
